Create metadata-free image copies

Remove EXIF, GPS, XMP, comments and text metadata from image batches, verify sanitized outputs and download a local ZIP.

Remove image metadata

Local re-encoding

Re-encoding removes metadata but may change compressed bytes. Animated images become a single frame. Browser decoding applies stored orientation before export.

HOW IT WORKS

A private browser workflow

Your files stay in this tab and are not sent to an image-processing server.

01

Add images

Choose a single image or a batch of up to fifty supported files.

02

Decode orientation

Browser decoding applies stored orientation before pixels are re-encoded.

03

Verify metadata removal

Outputs are inspected for EXIF, XMP, comments and PNG text chunks.

04

Download sanitized copies

Verified files are bundled without overwriting the originals.

Common questions

Does this remove GPS location?

Yes. Re-encoding drops the source EXIF container that can hold GPS fields, and output metadata is verified.

Does the image change?

Pixels are re-encoded, so compressed bytes and file size can change even when appearance remains usable.

Are files uploaded?

No. Decoding, verification and ZIP creation happen locally.
