Choose your layout

The whole photo fits inside the page. White margins, no cropping, no watermark.

Up to 32 photos / 150 MB per document. Photos are prepared at up to 2,400 pixels on the longest side. Transparency becomes white; PDFs contain images, without searchable text.

A LITTLE LESS FILE JUGGLING

A small photo index with plenty of uses

01

Compare a shoot without opening every file

A contact sheet places multiple photos on the same page. Use it to choose favorites from a shoot, compare product angles, or review a collection with someone else. Four photos per page leave room to see details; nine offer a faster overview.

02

Make an inventory or project reference

Group photos of objects, artwork or project stages in a compact document. Filenames make it easier to find the original photo later. Longer names are shortened to fit the caption area, so short descriptive filenames work best.

03

Print on paper you already use

Choose A4 or US Letter, then portrait or landscape. Each photo fits within its own cell without cropping, so a mix of wide and tall photos keeps its proportions. The final page may contain empty cells if your photo count does not fill the grid.

04

Share a useful overview

Preview every page, then save the PDF or use your device’s share menu when available. Captions are optional and no branding is added to the PDF. Use Print quality for a paper proof; Compact makes a lighter reference to send.

GOOD TO KNOW

Contact sheet questions

Paper sizes, photo quality and your files.

What is a photo contact sheet?

A contact sheet is a grid of small photos on one or more pages. It helps you compare images, identify originals by filename and share a visual overview. This tool creates a PDF you can view, send or print.

Can I make a contact sheet from iPhone HEIC photos?

Yes. Add HEIC or HEIF photos directly, including a mix with JPG, PNG or WebP images. Photos that cannot be decoded are marked individually. Up to 32 photos and 150 MB of source files can be added per document.

How many pictures fit on a page?

Choose 4 or 9 photos per page for a contact sheet, or one photo per page for a photo document. Additional pages are created automatically. Five photos in the four-photo layout produce two pages.

Does the grid crop my photos?

No. Each complete photo fits inside its cell, with white space where the aspect ratios differ. The tool does not crop or stretch photos to fill the grid. Transparent areas become white in the PDF.

Can I choose filenames and page order?

Turn Show filenames on or off, and use the arrow buttons to move photos earlier or later. Photos fill the grid from left to right, then top to bottom. Caption text comes from the selected files, so rename files before adding them if you need custom labels.

Is the contact sheet private and watermark-free?

The PDF is generated locally in your browser without an image-processing upload. No watermark or PixelConvert branding is placed on its pages. Preview links are temporary and local to your browser; save a copy before leaving the page.
