About This Tool

Fit keeps the whole image inside a bounding box. Crop removes edges to fill a chosen aspect ratio. Padding keeps the whole picture on a canvas with the exact width and height you enter. None of these modes stretches the image out of proportion.

When to Use It

Crop a landscape photo into a square portrait, add breathing room around a product, or fit a screenshot inside a website layout. Select each image in the preview menu to check the batch before processing; the same framing settings apply across the batch.

How It Works Locally

Enter both dimensions for crop or padding. Move the horizontal and vertical crop controls to choose which area remains visible. Padding centers your image and fills the surrounding area with your chosen color or transparency.

Impact on Image Quality

Enlargement is off by default. A crop from a small source therefore produces smaller dimensions with the requested aspect ratio. Enable enlargement for the full requested crop size, or choose padding to get an exact canvas without enlarging the original. JPG turns transparent areas white.

Your Images Stay on Your Device

Your images are decoded and processed on your device. Image contents are not uploaded to a processing server. Downloads and ZIP creation also happen locally.

Browser Support & Performance

Use a recent browser with canvas image support. WebP encoding and HEIC decoding availability vary; unsupported files produce an error without stopping the rest of your batch. Large images and repeated compression attempts take longer on mobile devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a picture square without cropping?
Set equal width and height, choose “Pad to exact size,” and select a background. The whole image stays visible inside the square canvas.
Why is my cropped output smaller than the requested size?
The source does not contain enough pixels and enlargement is disabled. Enable enlargement if softer output is acceptable, or use padding instead.
Can the padding be transparent?
Yes. Choose transparent padding and export PNG or WebP. JPG has no transparency and uses white instead.
