Build a color palette from an image

Extract representative image colors, copy HEX and RGB values, and export a reusable JSON or CSS palette locally.

Extract representative colors

Local pixels

Visible pixels are sampled and grouped deterministically. Fully transparent pixels are ignored.

HOW IT WORKS

A private browser workflow

Your files stay in this tab and are not sent to an image-processing server.

01

Choose an image

Select a browser-decodable image; transparent pixels are safely ignored.

02

Set palette size

Request three to twelve representative colors from a downsampled pixel analysis.

03

Copy color values

Each swatch exposes HEX and RGB and copies its HEX value when selected.

04

Export the palette

Download structured JSON or ready-to-use CSS custom properties.

Common questions

Will I always get the same colors?

Yes. The deterministic color bins return the same palette for the same decoded pixels and palette size.

How is transparency handled?

Fully transparent pixels are ignored so invisible RGB data does not distort the result.

Are images uploaded?

No. Sampling and color extraction happen in this browser tab.
